Lourdes Mancini (pronounced “Lordz”) is a Boston-based illustrator, colorist, and creative entrepreneur who creates nostalgic, “eye-candy” artwork with a focus on saturated, attention-grabbing color. Born and raised in Somerville, Massachusetts, Lourdes infuses her digital and traditional work with the vibrant energy of early 2000s culture, cartoons, and anime. As the lead artist of collaborative studio opalco.art, she manages a global Etsy storefront and a solid freelance client base, specializing in expressive custom pet portraits and product design. Her artistic practice is driven by a deep informed passion for wildlife and the natural world, themes she explores through neon-infused digital illustrations and acrylic painting. Lourdes is currently completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration at Lesley University, following an Associate of Science in Studio Arts from Bunker Hill Community College. She is dedicated to expanding her narrative storytelling through editorial projects, comics, and children’s book illustration.
Lourdes is currently seeking representation and is available for freelance commissions & contract work. To discuss a project or vision, please get in touch at lourdes[at]opalco.art.
